Community Relations Connect: Sessions

Community Relations Connect, is an emerging network for community relations and social performance practitioners throughout Africa. It is a community of practice for people to come together to share, learn and improve their practices.  Community Relations Connect (CRC) has been catalysed by the urgent need to effectively respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. CRC is hosted by Synergy Global Consulting and is supported by the International Council for Metals and Mining (ICMM)

Charting our way through a changed landscape | 1 July 2020

Our practitioner conversations which have evolved into the Community Relations Connect have started with several questions:

  • What has changed in the landscape?
  • What are the challenges you are facing, both new and old?
  • How has this affected you personally?
  • How can we best respond to these challenges?

Much has happened in the past months since this first session. We have learned a lot during the 12 sessions we have held during this period. We will revisit these questions to reflect together on where we have come from, where we are now and where we go from here – individually and collectively.

The session draws on our experiences and insights as practitioners. Plenty of sharing, discussion and reflection enabled everyone to contribute and learn.
