Seynabou is a specialist in environmental and social safeguards with over fourteen years of experience supporting projects financed by international lenders and public institutions across Africa. She has strong expertise in the preparation and delivery of key E&S instruments, including Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA), Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMP) and Biodiversity Action Plans (BAP). Her work covers a wide range of infrastructure and energy projects, including solar power plants, transmission networks, and public infrastructure, with a consistent focus on compliance with national regulations and international standards such as those of the World Bank and IFC.
Seynabou brings advanced technical capabilities in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and spatial analysis, which she uses to support impact assessments, land use analysis, and environmental and social baseline studies. She has developed strong expertise in the assessment of physical and biological environments, including biodiversity mapping, ecosystem characterization, and impact analysis, allowing her to deliver robust and data-driven E&S assessments.
She also has extensive experience in the implementation and monitoring of Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMP), ensuring that mitigation measures are effectively translated into operational procedures on site. Her work includes supervising environmental performance during construction and operations, monitoring corrective actions, and supporting contractors and project teams in achieving compliance.
Based in Senegal, she has worked extensively across West Africa, including Senegal, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Cote d’Ivoire, Tchad, The Gambia, and Madagascar.
She is fluent in French and Wolof, with working proficiency in Italian and English. She holds a professional master’s in environmental management and a QHSE certification, and completed a master’s degree in resources, environment and development at Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar.
