Loïs is a junior consultant with a background in sustainable development and the social dimensions of nature-based solutions in the extractive sector. She holds an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Oxford, where her research focused on the social performance of biodiversity offsets in Madagascar, examining the relationship between mining, conservation, community impacts, and the green energy transition.

At Synergy, Loïs supports work across social performance, human rights, community investment, grievance mechanism reporting, and environmental and social due diligence. She has contributed to the development of best practice and learning in the extractive and renewable energy sectors, including through work with IRMA and ICMM, as well as research for the World Mining Congress and advisory support on social performance standards, responsible supply chains, learning platforms, Indigenous Peoples’ rights, and nature-based solutions in mining. Her work includes conducting research, benchmarking, stakeholder engagement support, data analysis, reporting, and the development of practical tools, case studies and visual summaries.

Loïs also holds a BA in Development Studies from the University of Sussex. She is fluent in French and English.
